Wanting to get involved? There are many ways in which you can participate in the ministry of Highland Avenue Church.

Christian Education & Prayer

Sunday school and Bible Study are foundational for understanding the word of God. Through Sunday school we want to teach, train, and show people how to grow in Christ. We provide age appropriate lessons each Sunday for all ages. Through weekly Bible Study and Prayer our mission is to make disciples through teaching the experiences of the Bible that believers might experience the teaching of the Bible. We come together also to intercede on behalf of our church, our pastors, our city, our nation and the world to experience the power of God.

No Limits (Young Adults ages 18-35)

This ministry is designed to promote fun, fellowship, and unity, as well as encourage young adults to develop a passion and commitment for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Marriage Ministry

Working to educate, strengthen and support the marriages of HABC.

Men’s Fellowship (The Brotherhood)

We stand for Godliness, Accountability, and Integrity. Our mission is to assist, support, and provide guidance and direction to men in each aspect of their lives, which includes the church, community, and business.

Youth & Children’s Ministry

We provide an age appropriate messages delivered during the worship service.

Youth Department

Our goal is to develop, mentor, and encourage young people to totally surrender their lives to Jesus Christ and to Him alone.

New Member Orientation

We provide new members with a firm biblical foundation as well as instruction in the belief system and doctrine of Highland Church.

Nursery Program

We provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for infants and toddlers during the worship service.

WMU

WMU’s unwavering focus is making disciples of Jesus who live on mission by providing missions discipleship resources for churches and individuals, offering opportunities to engage with compassion ministries, and equipping people for leadership experiences.

Mercy & Hospitality Ministries

Caring for the Sick /Shut In Outreach

We minister to the elderly and others who are not able to attend in person due to sickness and health.

Bountiful Blessing Food Pantry

We are an official Cincinnati Food Bank facility that provides food to individuals in need. Our goal is to serve the community as well as the church family.

Trustee/Maintenance Ministry

The mission of this ministry is to keep and care for our Father’s house/ the Church in working order.

Welcome Team/Ushers Ministry

Our purpose is to show the love of Christ and to extend Highland hospitality with warm expressions of welcome and encouragement to all who enter the doors of Highland Church. The Ushers ministry assists the Pastors, members, and visitors in the worship services. The purpose of the Junior Usher is to have our children and youth play an active role in the Highland Church Family.

Follow-up Ministry

”Reaching out to all with a call to welcome.” Our goal is to contact each person that comes Highland Church to show them the love of Christ and let them know that they are welcome at HABC.

Music & Drama Ministries

Choir Ministry

This ministry is open to those who desire to worship through song and use their vocal talent to help the church celebrate in the Joy of the Lord.

Praise & Worship Team

We offer Contemporary and Gospel style praise and worship that allows for generational praise to spirit-filled believer who desires to exercise their vocal and musical talents to help magnify the Lord.

Highland Theatre Drama Ministry

Drama is used as a tool that paints a vivid picture of the gospel that allows Christ to be introduce in a creative and personal way.

Evangelism

Food for the Soul/Evangelism

This ministry is designed to fulfill the “Great Commission” by engaging potential believers and equipping men and women to do the work of an Evangelist and to reach the lost by leading them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Vacation Bible School

“Planting the seeds for each generation.” This is an annual weeklong event in the summertime, which is an opportunity to share the good news with the entire community in a camp like atmosphere.
